A standard ratio is about 1 gram of coffee per 15-17 grams of water. For a 34 oz press, that's roughly 60-65 grams of coarsely ground coffee.
Use a coarse grind, similar to sea salt. Fine grinds will slip through the mesh filter and leave sediment in your cup.
Steep for 4 minutes before pressing down the plunger. Longer steeping increases bitterness; shorter steeping under-extracts the coffee.
